In the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, the athlete was a global sensation when she scored the first perfect ten in asymmetric bars. Then she scored an additional six perfect 10, which made her the smallest Olympic all-around gold medalist at only 14 years old. In addition to attracting the attention of others, but she also helped Romania establish itself as a world-class athlete. She gained international fame when she scored a record-breaking score.
